2011 - the Year of Small Business and Entrepreneurship

The upcoming new year of 2011 has been declared as the Year of small business and entrepreneurship. This was announced by Islam Karimov at a ceremony dedicated to the 18 th anniversary of the Constitution.

Today, small business and private entrepreneurship with its very important and substantial share in the economy, the role and influence, simply put, with a great significance, which will not replace neither the scope and direction, occupy a special place in the development of state and society.

An important priority throughout the period of independent development is the creation of maximum favorable conditions, privileges and preferences, provide comprehensive support to small business development and entrepreneurship, which is essential to ensure the future of our economy.

Talking about the critical importance of small business and entrepreneurship, we must be aware of the fact that solving this problem, we immediately realize the fundamental problem, which largely determines the nature and content of the reforms - the formation of the middle class of owners as the basis for a democratic society.

Small business and private enterprise are becoming an important factor for employment and a source of stable income. The fact that currently more than 74 percent of the total employed population of the country are working in this area.

A clear demonstration of thoughts expressed above is the fact that only in 2010 due to the development of small and private businesses 480,000 new jobs were created. More than 60 percent of them - are in the countryside. Taking into account that about 50 percent of the population lives in rural areas, it is easy to understand the social significance of these figures.

It is well known that measures taken in recent years,to further reduce the tax burden on businesses with 13 percent in 2005 to 7 percent, or reduction of almost 2-fold, expanded opportunities for small business and entrepreneurship.

Starting from 2011, the declined from 7 to 6 percent, which, no doubt, will become the new benefits provided by the state to business people and entrepreneurs.
