"One Hundred Years of Solitude"  27.12.2018 07:12

"One Hundred Years of Solitude" is a novel by Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, one of the most characteristic and popular works in the direction of magical realism. Throughout the novel, all his heroes are destined to suffer from loneliness, which is an innate "vice" of the Buendia family. The village where the novel takes place, Macondo, also lonely and separated from the contemporary world, lives in anticipation of the visits of the Gypsies bringing new inventions with them, and in oblivion, in constant tragic events in the history of culture described in the work.
