The second book exhibition-fair of education, teaching-methodic and fiction literature
On November 8 the Regional Information-library center (ILC) hosted the second book exhibition-fair of educational, teaching-methodic and fiction literature organized under the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 362 of 31.05.2006. The exhibition organizers were:
The Agency for Press and Information, the Ministry of Education of Uzbekistan together with the Uzkitobsavdo SJSC, Regional mayor’s house and the Regional Information-library center named after Ahmad Al Fargoniy.
This year the following publishing houses participated in the exhibition-fair: Shark, Uzbekistan State Encyclopedia, Uzbekistan, Ghafur Gulom, Manaviyat Nashrieti, Ukituvchi, Chulpon and over 500 titles were presented.
The opening ceremony of the book exhibition-fair was attended by the regional mayor’s assistant on spiritual and enlightenment work Kh.Abdurahimov, N. Khakimov, OblONO chief’s deputy, Shark publishing house general director A. Yunusov, Uzbekistan State Encyclopedia publishing house director N. Tuhliev, Manaviyat Nashrieti publishing house deputy director S. Begmatov, the head of the press and information regional administration T. Juraev, the ILC director D. Shukurova.
Each of the speakers underlined the importance of the event in cultural life of our region. Fans of the book, students, school pupils, teachers, librarians of all departments were able to get acquainted with the extensive list of books published in our country, in 2007. There was a lot of books, beginning from textbooks for elementary grades and ending with richly illustrated album Margilon 2000, 2750 Samarkand and others. The exhibition-fair will last until December 8, and everyone still have the opportunity to get familiar with the books of the Uzbekistan publishers.
As part of the exhibition-fair a creative meeting with Fergana poet Ismoil Mahmud will be held. Book exhibitions, devoted to the creativity of an Uzbek poet Usmon Nosir to 95th anniversary of his birth will be held. To the 95th birth anniversary of a singer, public figure of Uzbekistan Karim Zakirov and 85th birth anniversary of the people's artist of Uzbekistan Turgun Alimatov reviews of their creativity Sanat namoyandalari were prepared. For students of universities and colleges library excursion will be offered.
