On June 25, 2019 in the Regional Information and Library Center named after Ahmad Farghoni in connection with the International Day Against Drug Abuse, June 26, was held an event titled "Drug Abuse – bad, crime". The event was led by the Head of the Sector of the General Reading Room O.Abdullaeva.

The chief doctor of the Regional AIDS Center Avazbek Akbarov opened the event and told the readers about drug addiction and its consequences, as well as the fight against drug addiction.

Then Iqboloy Nurmatova of the narcological dispensary in Ferghana region made a speech and informed the youth about the measures to combat the drug addiction. The videos of the doctors were also presented to the attention of the event participants.

During the event, participants received answers from doctors.

Within the framework of this event, a book exhibition was organized and O.Abdullayeva commented on the event.

At the end of the event the doctors A.Akbarov and I.Nurmatova were awarded by the Information and Library Center.
